Meet the BGS Principal

I joined the Buhler Grade School family in July of 2017, and this marks my second year as the building principal. I grew up in Seneca, KS and graduated from Nemaha Valley High School. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University and a Masters degree in Building Administration from Fort Hays State University. After serving in my previous district, USD 380 Vermillion Schools for 24 years, I'm thrilled to be a part of the amazing school, staff and community of Buhler!  My classroom experience includes teaching 2nd grade for eight years, 6th grade for ten years and 5th grade for one. Most recently I served in the same district as the Curriculum Director for three years. I have three children; Kelsey, a full-time student who also resides in Buhler; Jordan, a 6th grade teacher in Frankfort; and Trenton, a member of the press team for a United States senator in Washington D.C. I also have one grandson, Sutton, who attends Buhler Grade School. My husband, Michael, passed away three years ago.
I feel very fortunate to be a part of the wonderful and loving staff at Buhler Grade School. USD 313 is known across the state for its exceptionality in academics, the arts and athletics, and my goal is to ensure those expectations for student success are grounded in your child's education at BGS.
